Dear reader,
As you might remember from my September newsletter, I decided to sort my son’s whole collection of LEGO in to it’s original sets as an autumn project, so now you know why I haven’t sent any newsletter since (I happen to have slight OCD when it comes to sorting stuff) 😀
I’ve even been crazy enough to order all the missing pieces (that I’ve probably vacuumed up over the years) form the official LEGO website, which is the least time consuming way of doing this, in case you were wondering 😉
This sorting exercise has continued to remind me of my work with clients. To take the brave decision to actually pour your whole emotional backpack out on the floor; then facing all those “grief, loss, trauma”-pieces in front of you (maybe for the very first time), but having no clue where they belong or how to resolve them; and then the mind-blowing thought of NEVER being able to put it all back in order!
But as you can tell from my pictures below, what first looks like utter chaos can indeed be patiently and lovingly sorted and reconstructed into Star Wars ships, Ninjago cars and Nexonite castles.
I talk more in depth about this process of how we try to make sense of our loss and grief LEGO piles in my most recent podcast interview together with my dear friend Andrina Tisi on the Life Curation Podcast that you can listen to here: https://andrinatisi.com/episode-006/
In my conversation with Andrina we talk about the different aspects of grief and when we can feel loss besides when someone we love passes away especially with what is happening this year with COVID.
I share some of my favourite insights and tips on what we can do to support ourselves and others and give you a good explanation of what grief is all about as well as describe the biggest misconception with regard to loss.
Furthermore many people often don’t know what to say or do when someone is going through a difficult time, so I also share in the interview what I feel is most helpful and how support could look like.
Take a listen over on your favourite podcast app or via the link https://andrinatisi.com/episode-006/
Warm regards,
Karin
